We attended the Oddities and Curiosities Expo in Tulsa, OK today! I saw some of my favorite vendors there! We replaced Kacey’s penis mug that Sean bought them last year and bought Mom a Virgin Mary mug from the same vendor, I hope she likes it. Kacey’s mug was lost during a feline gravity experiment last fall (Good News: Gravity is still there). I got a naughty frog! and some cool art prints and stickers, some adorable die-cut earings and a bitchin’ goth jumpsuit that is just… -chef’s kiss- I need some hot Mary Janes and a cute cardi to wear with it, but I can’t wait to wear it with what I’ve got right now too. I love goth professional and pastel goth. I need more of it in my wardrobe.
Check out some of the awesome stuff we saw. They had Victorian Hair Jewelry! I so wish I could have afforded a piece. No idea what the circle thing is, but please note, “NOT 4 YOUR BUTT ;)”

Also Sean met a furry!!! AND POSED FOR A PICTURE! That never happens! Photos of that boy are about as rare as Big Foot!

In scarier updates, I’m having a nerve ablasion done in my lower spine on Tuesday morning. Hopefully, this will lessen the pain caused by arthritis on my spine making sitting and transition movements easier. It’s not permanent since nerves grow back, but hopefully I’ll get real pain relief from it.
Still no idea what’s wrong with my legs. I’ve started experiencing an odd general tingly feeling in both or just loosing sensation entirely in my right leg while I’m trying to walk. A lot of fun there, let me tell you. Just walking along and suddenly there’s not a leg below you.
Disability Rant
I wish houses built after 1990 had to follow ADA standards so people who AREN’T:
- 70+
- disabled children
- disabled veterans
and don’t qualify for grants didn’t have to go into massive debt just to make their house liveable. I need ramps to get in my front, back, and garage doors with my wheelchair and my garage isn’t wide enough for 2 cars and a ramp. My hallway is so narrow I can’t turn around without doing a million point U-turn. I don’t fit thru any doorways without badly scraping the doorframes and my rims and forget about even entering my bathrooms. My wheelchair is almost 8″ too wide to fit through the narrow bathroom doors. Forget space to turn around or transfer onto the toilet or into the shower. I basically need a whole new house because once I’m done eating up space in the adjacent bedroom for a new bathroom and closet big enough to get my chair into, I’ve reduced my house to a 2br/1ba and lost massive value in my home and it means Sean moves into the office which is Logan’s room when he visits so I have to put my 16yo in the livingroom with his 12/13yo sisters to sleep when they all visit? So I’m building an addition, which means more money and more debt all because I was born with a rare connective tissue disorder and common bone deformities and all of this could have been avoided if my parents had two brain cells to rub together and stopped whining about condoms “killing sensation” or believing you can’t get pregnant while breastfeeding. Ugh! </rant>
