For those that don’t remember, Michael Barløse Hansen was a patron for quite a while but had to remove his support because of personal reasons. I am so shocked and grateful that he has resumed supporting me. I am so thankful for all of my patrons and for those that support me by liking and sharing my art.
When One Thing Ends…
As ideas strike me, I write them down. Usually, it’s on a scrap piece of paper or sticky notes or in my sketchbook or one of my many half-filled notebooks. Yesterday, I got a mini binder to keep all my ideas in and rewrote everything so it could all be in one place, and legible, because when I get ideas, I tend to scribble them out as fast as possible. Yesterday, I transferred over the last scene of the comic and writing those words was surreal.
The ending leads into my new comic. It takes place in the same universe. It already has a name (thank you Jarah on Tapas) and I’ve got the main characters designed. Now I’m working on building backstories and personalities in my downtime.
A Little Update On My Life
If you follow me on social media, you know that I recently moved from NC to OK. I’m all settled into my new place and finally have all my collectibles out on display again. Okay, almost all. Still need one more bookshelf in the bedroom for the rest of my Sailor Moon stuff, which I’m hoping to pick up in the next week.
I GOT A FERRET!!! Her name is Sin. She’s about two months old. She’s a biter and a little poop machine, but she gives me kisses on my face. She likes her bouncy ball with the purple glitter and eyeballs in it. She’s learning to fight her t-rex plush instead of my hands and she’s obsessed with biting my feet. I’ve been wearing my boots all day for the last two days and she is not pleased. All in all, she’s a sweetheart. Can’t wait to train her to go places with me. She’s still a little too small for her harness and everything startles her.
And finally, I will be starting a new job soon, working in the rental office of a car dealership. They’re working on completing the background check and I have to do a drug test. Yay. So it will probably at least October 9th before I start, maybe later. My new manager said it could take 10-14 days to complete the hiring process. Thankfully it’s only 15 minutes from home, so with the exception of working nights, I’ll be getting home at a reasonable time and will have more time to work on art.
I think that’s about it.
